Job summary

Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida is seeking a Supervisor for Imaging Services. You will oversee technologists and support staff, ensure quality control, and uphold radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff.

Engage with scheduling, physicians, and radiologists to optimize patient flow, monitor performance metrics, and support continuous improvement initiatives within Radiology services.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Directs the work of technologists and support staff to ensure workflow efficiency and accuracy.
• Establishes staffing patterns that support excellent customer service.
• Ensures images meet the established Quality Control standards.
• Applies the principles of radiation protection and safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
• Communicates and interacts closely with the scheduling department, Physicians, and Radiologists to ensure optimal patient/staff flow.
• Compiles, monitors, and analyzes data for critical success factors, Joint Commission, and budget variance reports.
• Interacts with other department supervisors to continually improve patient care issues.
• Administers medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
• Utilizes all Corporate Imaging computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Performs staff orientation
