Job summary

Middlesex Health in Connecticut is seeking a Radiology Coordinator to supervise imaging services within the Urgent Care setting, ensuring efficient daily operations and consistent patient care quality.

You will mentor staff and students, perform QC checks, coordinate machine maintenance, address incidents, and serve as a liaison between Radiology and Urgent Care clinics to uphold best practices and safe imaging standards.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT Certification or eligible in good standing.
• State license in Connecticut or eligible.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB) preferred.
• 1–3 years leadership experience including coaching staff and developing staff schedules.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated high level of imaging modality competency in two or more modalities.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) with healthcare workers and guests.
• Demonstrated good organizational skills with ability to handle several tasks/projects.
• Demonstrated good judgment and problem solving skills, ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated flexibility, teamwork and ability to build consensus.
• Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily imaging services operations in Urgent Care.
• Room patients as Medical Assistant; obtain vitals and interview patients.
• Mentor staff and students; provide coaching and problem solving.
• Perform QC checks and coordinate machine maintenance.
• QA checks for technicians; address and record incidents.
• Liaise between Radiology and Urgent Care clinics to ensure best practices.
• Perform imaging procedures with teamwork and professional conduct.
• Promote high morale and teamwork in patient services.
