Job summary

Middlesex Health in Connecticut seeks a Radiology Coordinator to supervise daily imaging operations within the Urgent Care modality, ensuring quality control, patient service and smooth workflow.

Responsibilities include patient care during imaging, mentoring staff and students, performing QC checks, coordinating machine maintenance, and serving as liaison between Radiology and Urgent Care clinics to uphold best practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing.
• State of Connecticut License/Eligible.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three to five years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• One to three years leadership experience including coaching and scheduling staff.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated high level of expertise in two or more imaging modalities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills as well as problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures and exercises professional judgment in line with health system policies.
• Mentor staff and students; provide coaching and training.
• Perform regular QC checks and coordinate machine maintenance as needed.
• Perform regular QA checks for each technician and address incidents as needed.
• Act as liaison between Radiology Department and Urgent Care clinics to uphold best practices.
• Perform imaging procedures with initiative and professionalism; model positive behavior.
• Apply teamwork principles in all patient services.
