Job summary

Boston Medical Center South is seeking a Radiology Operations Manager to lead daily technical operations across all imaging modalities. This role supervises lead technologists and scheduling staff, develops policies, and ensures compliance with Joint Commission, DPH, NRC, and MWRA standards to optimize workflow.

The position manages payroll, evaluates equipment, and drives quality improvement while aligning with BMCHS strategic goals and providing CEU-supported staff education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 3+ years in diagnostic imaging with 1–2 years supervisory experience.
• ARRT or CNMT certification; current or eligible Massachusetts Radiology Technologist license within 6 months.
• Experience in hospital radiology operations and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Operational & Staff Management: selects, develops, evaluates, and schedules technical staff across all imaging modalities to maximize capacity.
• Talent Acquisition & Performance: interviews and hires technical candidates, conducts evaluations, and reports staffing trends.
• Regulatory Compliance & Policy: directs development and enforcement of records and policies to ensure Joint Commission and state compliance.
• Fiscal Responsibility: oversees payroll, evaluates equipment, manages purchasing, and proposes cost-reduction measures.
• Quality & Performance Improvement: drives ongoing performance improvement across operations and communicates data to staff.
• Strategic Planning: aligns departmental plans with BMCHS goals with the Director.
• Education & Support: coordinates CEU programs and tracks attendance with QA team.
