Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Operations Manager to lead daily technical operations across CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, and more. You will supervise lead technologists and staff, shape departmental policies, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission and state regulations while supporting clinical workflow.

This role emphasizes staffing, budgeting, quality improvement, and collaboration with the Director of Radiology.

Qualifications

Associate degree in radiologic technology or related field; supervisory experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred for advanced leadership responsibilities.
ARRT CNMT certification or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 3 years in diagnostic imaging with 1–2 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Operational & staff management: schedule and supervise staff across imaging modalities; coordinate assignments and in-service education.
Talent acquisition: hire qualified candidates and conduct performance evaluations; report staffing trends to Director.
Regulatory compliance: ensure policies comply with Joint Commission, DPH, NRC, and MWRA requirements.
Fiscal responsibility: manage payroll and budgeting; evaluate equipment and cost-reduction opportunities.
Quality & performance improvement: participate in quality programs and communicate data to staff.
Strategic planning: align departmental goals with BMCHS objectives.
Education & support: coordinate CEU programs and evidence-based practice integration.
