Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Operations Manager to direct daily technical operations across multiple imaging modalities, supervise lead technologists and staff, and help develop policies that ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, and budgetary oversight while supporting clinical work as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in diagnostic imaging with 3+ years in diagnostic imaging and 1–2 years supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for advanced roles in a teaching hospital.
• ARRT certification required and active license eligibility in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts within 6 months of employment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with staff, patients, and vendors.
• Knowledge of EHR, RIS, and PACS workflows and Epic applications.

Responsibilities

• Selects, develops, evaluates, and schedules technical staff across imaging modalities.
• Interviews and hires qualified candidates; conducts performance evaluations and reports staffing trends.
• Directs compliance with Joint Commission, DPH, NRC, and MWRA policies and regulations.
• Oversees payroll for supervised modalities; manages purchasing within budgetary constraints.
• Executes continuous quality and performance improvement activities across operations.
• Aligns departmental plans with BMCHS strategic goals in coordination with the Director.
• Coordinates CEU programs with the Clinical Educator and tracks attendance.
