Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY, seeks an Assistant Administrator Radiology to supervise day‑to‑day operations of Moses Radiology and partner with Medical and administrative leaders. The role oversees staff, staffing budgets, safety and quality oversight, and service delivery across outpatient sites.

You will drive performance, implement patient‑centered initiatives, and lead projects to improve efficiency while ensuring compliance with JC/ACR standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Health Science or Healthcare Administration required.
• NYS License in Radiologic Technology required.
• ARRT certification required.
• Experience working with/leading a Union workforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Moses campus, including management of site managers, techs, administrative staff, physician assistants, and other support staff.
• Works with the Director of Finance to oversee financial performance of Moses campus, including development of the budget and personnel expenses.
• Collaborates with QA Management, Imaging Leadership, the Safety Office and other operations managers to ensure consistent, quality care to all patients.
• Partners with the Radiology Director of Patient Experience to develop and implement a vision for service excellence and patient-centered Radiology; including measuring performance and training staff in patient experience.
• Accountable for overall management of the technical operations while collaborating with modality Technical Directors.
• Develop Moses management team to effectively manage and lead an efficient, high quality, patient centric atmosphere, using data analytics and lean methodology while increasing frontline staff engagement.
• In partnership with the Medical Director of Quality and Safety, Manager of QI/QC, Medical Physicists, and local administrators, ensures compliance with Joint Commission and American College of Radiology standards.
• Collaborates with department administration and the Medical Director, OP Imaging on business plan development to introduce and support new clinical programs or technologies, and monitor KPIs for Radiology operations at Weiler.
• Leads and collaborates on projects related to operations and process improvement.
• Ensures written safety procedures, work instructions, emergency procedures, and operating instructions are issued to all technical staff and site managers, with training records maintained.
• Works with the Medical Director, OP Imaging to identify renovations and equipment needs for Radiology Leadership.
• Works with the Radiology Informatics Team to identify IT solutions.
• Ensures all clinical licenses and ARRT documentation are maintained and that the Department meets ACR, NYS DOH and Joint Commission guidelines.
• Develops relationships with stakeholders to support the department’s operational goals and patient safety.
• Collaborates with HR to navigate union employee matters.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Health Science or Healthcare Administration

NYS License in Radiologic Technology

ARRT certification

Master’s degree preferred
