Job summary

UVM Health's Radiology Department seeks a Radiology Medical Assistant II to support Radiologic Technologists by handling clerical, patient transport, and non-technical tasks. The role collaborates with Radiology nurses and Radiologists, manages workflow, answers phones, stocks rooms, and assists patients to and from exam areas.

Responsibilities include scheduling and processing exams, preparing for audits, using PACS/EPIC/KRONOS, and training new medical assistants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• LNA or comparable medical experience preferred.
• Previous hospital or health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Radiologic Technologists and Radiology nurses in non-technical tasks.
• Manage workflow, answer phones, stock rooms, and aid patients to exam areas.
• Schedule and process exams, and prepare for regulatory audits.
• Use department systems (PACS, EPIC, KRONOS).
• Train new medical assistants in the department.
