Job summary

The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont seeks a Radiology Medical Assistant II to support Radiologic Technologists. The role centers on clerical, non-technical tasks and patient assistance to ensure smooth exams.

You will manage scheduling, room preparation, and workflow, answer phones, stock rooms, and help move patients. Training will include IV starts in some modalities and mentoring new medical assistants in the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• LNA or comparable medical experience preferred.
• Previous hospital or health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiology technologists during patient exams.
• Manage workflow and answer phones.
• Stock rooms and assist patients to/from exam rooms.
• Schedule and process exams.
• Prepare for regulatory and hospital audits.
• Use department systems (PACS, EPIC, KRONOS).
• Train new medical assistants in the department.
