Avera St Mary's Hospital in the United States is seeking a Lead Radiologic Technologist to oversee daily radiology workflow, operate radiologic equipment, and perform diagnostic imaging as directed by physicians. This role supports a multidisciplinary team, provides resources across the department, and participates in quality assurance.

A two-year/technical radiologic program and ARRT radiography certification are required.

Formación

• Two-year or hospital-based Radiologic Technology education is required.
• ARRT radiography certification (R) is required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares, positions and instructs patients and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Operates equipment to provide quality images for the surgeons.
• Operates and calibrates intra-operative computed tomography equipment and set scan parameters to produce satisfactory images.
• Take x-ray images in other areas of the hospital with portable equipment.
• Observe sterile techniques and complete procedures promptly.
• Works with physicians to obtain optimal images.
• Consults with surgeon as to specific details of individual exams for specialized protocols.
• Mentors and assists in the education of students.

Educación

Associate's or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or hospital-based Radiologic Technology Program

Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
