Job summary

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist the radiology team during diagnostic and therapeutic angiography and related procedures.

The role includes acting as circulator or scrub assistant, preparing equipment, and ensuring sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Formal radiology education and licensing are required.
• Must obtain WA Radiologic Technologist license on hire.
• Must obtain WA Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification on hire.
• NRRT/R Radiography, CCIS, and other interventional credentials are required.
• Within 1 year: NR licensed specialty in interventional radiography.
• Within 1 year: NR Cardiovascular-Interventional radiography.
• Within 1 year: NR Vascular-Interventional radiography.
• BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist interventional team during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Serve as circulator or scrub assistant during angiography, venography, and line placements.
• Prepare and maintain sterile field and interventional equipment.
• Support patient care and documentation during procedures.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards in the cath lab.

Description

Assist the interventional radiologist, vascular surgeon, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, neuro-interventional radiologist, or neurosurgeon with performing interventional radiology procedures including but not limited to diagnostic and therapeutic angiography of the head and body, venography, fistula grams, central line placement, biopsies, drainages, and pain injections. Typical roles performed during procedures are as circulator or scrub assist.

• Associate's degree, Or
• Coursework/Training: Two-year technical program
• Coursework/Training: Completion of an approved radiology technologist training program
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist or
• Upon hire: Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or
• Upon hire: National Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - Cardiovascular Credentialing International
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Cardiac-Interventional Radiography or
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography or
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Vascular-Interventional Radiography
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Interventional Radiology
