Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series: The incumbent will be expected to conduct substantial research; provide patient care; teach fellows, residents, and medical students; and perform public and University service. Excellent teaching is essential for appointment in this series.

Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service.

Candidates must possess an M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree. Applicant must be fellowship trained in Pediatric Radiology or possess equivalent work experience and have a documented interest in research and teaching. Candidates must be licensed or be eligible for full licensure in the State of California, including eligibility obtained under a 2113 CA special permit. CAQ eligibility and an excellent track record in scholarly activities is preferred.

Clinical responsibilities include all areas of pediatric radiology (radiographs, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI). Most teaching is conducted during daily read out sessions with residents. Pediatric Radiology faculty also share in the division s responsibility to deliver didactic and case-based conferences to Radiology residents and medical students rotating in Radiology. The group participates actively in multidisciplinary conferences.

The Department of Radiology performs approximately 400,000 examinations per year and has 45 full-time faculty, including 7 Pediatric Radiologists. The department has state-of-the‑art equipment, including new MRI scanners and a brand-new pediatric fluoroscopy suite. It is the country s first adopter of the new ultra high-resolution Cannon CT scanner. The new Explorer total-body PET/CT scanner offers abundant research opportunities. Both UC Davis Health and Shriners Hospitals for Children offer EOS imaging systems for ultra low-dose radiography.
