Pediatric Pulmonary Faculty Member

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric sleep medicine specialist to join the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. The successful candidate will help expand a growing pediatric sleep medicine program serving children throughout Northern California while contributing to clinical care, research, and the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. Leadership opportunities are available, including potential roles within the Pediatric Sleep Medicine Program and Pediatric Sleep Laboratory.

UC Davis Children's Hospital offers a comprehensive pediatric sleep medicine program featuring multidisciplinary sleep and CPAP clinics, accredited in-lab and home sleep testing, and access to advanced surgical therapies. Join a collaborative team of seven pediatric pulmonologists, including three sleep medicine physicians, committed to innovation, education, research, and exceptional patient care.

The position is open at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level in Health Science Clinical or the Clinical X Series in the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology. Candidate hired into the position will join a thriving pulmonary practice that serves a huge catchment area in Northern California. The Division has robust Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, Technology Dependent and Sleep programs. The division has six pulmonologists, two registered nurses, respiratory therapists, dieticians, pharmacists and social workers and provides multidisciplinary care in the areas of Severe Asthma, Aerodigestive, Sickle Cell, Pulmonary Hypertension and Neuromuscular clinics. Candidates should have an interest in the care of complex multidisciplinary patients with pulmonary and sleep medicine conditions and participate in teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, research activities of the Department of Pediatrics, and serve on departmental committees. Pediatric pulmonologists with experience in sleep disorders are encouraged to apply.

With more than 120 physicians in 33 pediatric subspecialties, the Children's Hospital is a 121-bed hospital housed within the 619-bed University of California, Davis Medical Center. It is the only designated Children's Hospital in the Sacramento region, and is known for offering comprehensive, compassionate, family-centered care. UC Davis Children's Hospital is distinguished for its outstanding congenital heart program and its internationally recognized telemedicine programs. UC Davis Children's Hospital has a 49-bed level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a new 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit/Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.

The UC Davis Children's Hospital is based on the UC Davis Health campus in Sacramento, California and serves a population of over 1 million children in the Northern California, Central Valley and Western Nevada regions.
