Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant to support the Radiology team with RIS usage, basic computer tasks and strong communication. This role involves organizing rooms, stocking supplies and assisting patient transport within Radiology.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prefer 1 year of patient care experience. BLS certification is required or must be obtained prior to direct patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Organizes rooms, stocks linen and removes linen.
• Uses two patient identifiers before transporting patients to/from Radiology.
• Operates stretchers, patient beds and wheelchairs.
• Reviews daily department schedules to coordinate with Radiology team.
• Maintains imaging area supplies and informs when restocking is needed.
• Other duties as assigned for department operations.
