Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant to support the Radiology team with RIS and basic computer skills, ensuring clear communication. You will help organize rooms, transport patients with proper identifiers, and assist with supplies in Imaging areas.

This role supports department operations and requires a high school diploma and BLS certification. The position offers an environment that emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and ongoing professional development within Mercy Health’s

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association is required or must be obtained prior to direct patient care.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience is preferred.
• Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS) is preferred.
• EPIC EHR and PACS familiarity are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes rooms, stocks linen and handles linen removal.
• Uses two patient identifiers before transporting patients to/from Radiology.
• Operates stretchers, patient beds and wheelchairs safely.
• Reviews daily department schedules to coordinate with Radiology team.
• Maintains imaging department supplies and notifies leadership when restocking is needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned for department operations.
