Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant to support the Radiology team using the Radiology Information System, maintain orderly rooms, and assist with patient transport. Strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, and BLS is required. Prior patient care experience and familiarity with RIS, EPIC EHR, and PACS are preferred. Mercy Health offers benefits, training, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification is required/preferred.
• 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
• Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS) preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EHR (preferred).
• Experience with PACS (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Organizes rooms, stocks linen, changes and properly removes linen.
• Uses two patient identifiers prior to transporting patients to and from Radiology.
• Operates stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs.
• Reviews daily department schedules to coordinate with Radiology team.
• Maintains office and medical supplies in Imaging areas.
• Fulfills other duties as assigned to support department operations.
