Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking an Imaging Technical Assistant I for MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. You will assist nurses, technologists, radiologists and clerical staff in patient service during radiology procedures.

Responsibilities include patient prep, equipment setup, supply handling, film organization, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure timely care and smooth operation of the Radiology Department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; preferred additional training or experience as a Nursing Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for procedure and positions on exam table.
• Loads contrast into injector and maintains sterile field.
• Organizes radiology films and maintains department records.
• Acts as liaison between radiology and other departments and provides desk coverage as needed.
• Transports specimens and assists with orientation of new staff.
