Job summary

ChristianaCare Cecil Campus Radiology Department is seeking a full-time Tech Assistant to support imaging operations and patient flow. The role includes handling radiology images, patient transport, and coordination with radiology staff in a busy hospital setting.

The position requires a high school diploma and prior medical office experience; 24/7 coverage with day/night shifts and 3x12-hr rotations are part of the schedule. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years related medical office experience preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route calls in a high imaging department and/or office.
• Obtain and upload outside imaging studies for comparison for radiologist.
• Burn CDs and print patients’ medical imaging records.
• Connect and resolve outside images sent to the PACS system for providers.
• Mail and/or fax reports to physician offices.
• Document communication of critical results when necessary.
• Operate computer systems and office equipment safely.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide courteous service.
