Job summary

ChristianaCare Cecil Campus Radiology is seeking a part-time Tech Assistant to support imaging operations, patient services, and data handling. The role involves evening and night shifts, weekend coverage, and collaboration with radiology staff to ensure timely image processing and reporting.

The position requires a high school diploma and a couple of years of medical office experience; familiarity with PACS and strong customer service are preferred. Equal opportunity employer statement included.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years related medical office experience preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route calls in a high imaging department and/or office.
• Obtains and uploads outside imaging studies for comparison for radiologist.
• Burn CDs, prints patients' medical imaging records.
• Connect and resolve outside images sent to the PACS system for providers.
• Mail and/or fax reports to physician offices.
• Documents communication of critical results when necessary.
• Operates computer systems and office equipment in a safe manner.
• Interacts with patient, family members, physicians, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• 24/7 coverage required in an acute hospital setting which includes weekday, and weekend coverage; a backup list requirement is initiated for the emergent staffing needs within the department.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
