Job summary

Advocate Health’s Radiology department in Aurora, IL seeks a Full-time Radiology Aide for the Mammography unit. You will assist patients before exams, transport them between rooms, greet visitors, and support technologists and physicians to keep the workflow smooth.

Requires a GED/HSED or high school diploma, BLS certification, and excellent communication. No prior experience required. The role is 40 hours per week with shifts 7am–4pm, 7:30am–4:30pm or 8am–5pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required upon hire.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in preparation for exam and provide basic instruction.
• Transport and escort patients between rooms and departments.
• Use radiology computer systems to generate requisitions and check schedules.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Greet patients and respond to routine information requests.
• Schedule appointments and relay messages as needed.
• Serve as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
• Document information and communicate observations to care team.
• Maintain and monitor imaging equipment and cleanliness.
• Assist with MRI implant screening per department needs.
