Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assist patients, prepare exam rooms, and operate radiology equipment. You will generate requisitions, check schedules, and coordinate between physicians, radiologists, and technologists.

The role requires BLS certification, a high school diploma or GED/HSED, and strong communication and organizational skills. No prior experience is required; training will be provided in imaging procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required upon hire.
  • GED or equivalent education is acceptable; HS diploma required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work with technologists, physicians, and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients in exam prep and transport, and greet/coordinate with families.
  • Operate radiology equipment, generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient data.
  • Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure equipment readiness.
  • Provide radiology reports or images as requested and manage film jackets/discs.
  • Act as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
  • Document observations and communicate patient needs to the health care team.
  • Ensure routine maintenance and quality checks on imaging equipment.
