Job summary

Montefiore New Rochelle is seeking an Assistant Chief Technician Radiology to oversee daily imaging operations at the Moses Division. This role includes coordinating staff and resources to ensure efficient patient throughput and providing a safe clinical environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership and knowledge in imaging protocols while fostering a culture of safety and quality improvement. Qualifications include being a licensed Radiologic Technologist and ARRT certification in CT or MRI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• NYS Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist required.
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist with CT or MRI certification required.
• Prior experience in imaging operations or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with PACS, Epic, and imaging systems.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily imaging operations, staff, and resource allocation.
• Ensure technical staff competency and adherence to imaging protocols.
• Assign schedules and ensure adequate 24/7 staffing coverage.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety and departmental policies.
• Promote patient and staff safety and quality improvement.
• Conduct monthly quality assurance reviews.
• Train and support staff in PACS, Epic, and related imaging systems.
• Monitor workflows to improve efficiency.
