Job summary

Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital in New Rochelle, NY seeks a CT/MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures under the chief technologist, using independent judgment and safe radiologic practices.

Responsibilities include patient data entry into RIS, image labeling, supporting biopsy procedures, and maintaining PACS/DX workflow. Requires ARRT, CT or MR certification, and injection credential; day shift 9 AM–5:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in CT or MR and meets the requirements for certification in either CT or MR
• Registered Radiologic Technologist - Injection Required
• ARRT Required
• Cat Scan Systems and, or MRI Systems
• PACS
• RIS

Responsibilities

• Enter patient data into RIS and other appropriate computer systems
• Place the patient on the scan table in the correct position for the scan to be performed
• Obtain appropriate scout image for procedure
• Error free data entry in computer systems. Room turnaround time of 5 minutes after completion of previous case
• The assistance at the side of the radiologist during biopsy procedures as needed
• Constant attention to the progression of the procedure while in the control room
• Involved with operating injector when necessary
• Error free sterile technique
• Constant awareness of progression of procedure
• Maintain adherence to imaging workflow in IDXRad, and GE Centricity (PACS). Track exams in IDXRad; verify images in PACS
• Photographing and labeling scan image; processing and displaying final images
• Maintain all necessary records of image slices and injections
• Observe all rules and regulations regarding radiation safety for patients and staff
• Train other associates in CT or MRI procedures
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area
• Perform duties of a 4T technologist as needed
• Perform other related assigned tasks
