Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY seeks a Radiology Technologist to contribute to CT/DR imaging and MRI services. The role requires pa licensing in New York, a Master’s degree, and board-certified or eligible credentials with ongoing CME requirements.

Responsibilities include expediting patient care, assisting in interventional procedures, and coordinating with nurses and physicians to ensure high-quality imaging and timely results. Evening and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Licensed and registered PA in New York State.
• Master's Degree required.
• Graduate of an approved PA program.
• Must pass National Certification Exam and National Recertification Exam every six years.
• Must obtain 100 CME credits every two years.
• Knowledge of XRAY/CATSCAN/MRI protocols.
• Radiology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Expedite patient care and throughput in CT/DR Radiology area and MRI.
• Perform contrast injections and document labs results accurately.
• Assist in Emergency Interventional procedures; primary care giver on night shift rotation.
• Respond to patient emergencies and manage film retrieval/storage.
• Attend Radiology conferences and teaching rounds; present cases.
• Transfer acutely ill patients and communicate needs to Nurse Manager and Supervising Physician.
• Maintain professional conduct with patients and staff; uphold dress code and teamwork.
