Job summary

Mercy Medical Center seeks a Lead Radiology Technologist to oversee shift operations and perform diagnostic radiographic procedures per department protocols. This role interfaces with customers to meet imaging needs, and participates in PI/QC activities while supporting staff and ensuring timely PACS transmission.

The position requires ARRT-R, state licensure, and current BCLS, with at least one year of radiology experience. A strong focus on teamwork and compliance with regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• ARRT-R is required.
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or staff.
• Supervises staff in the absence of manager/director.
• Promotes teamwork and good customer service.
• Assists in annual evaluations and staff discipline.
• Performs Diagnostic Radiographic Procedures according to department protocols, HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal Regulations.
• Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
• Participates in PI/QC activities.
• Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
