Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) required.
• BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) required.
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) required.
• BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) required.
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, verifies prescriptions with providers, schedules patients as needed.
• Answers department and reading room phones directing callers and providing follow up as needed.
• Communicates findings of Imaging exams to caregivers, including verifying the transmission of critical findings.
• Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or neuro chair as requested.
• Creates electronic files for release of information to authorized individuals, including legal requests via subpoena.
• Manages electronic Imaging exam for timely interpretation, oversees interpretation workflow.
• Performs audits for exams pending final interpretation or mis-stored files.
• Manages and distributes patient radiology imaging and PHI.
• Prepares and distributes patient records including original film, digital images burned to CD/DVD.
• Performs daily inspections on radiologist reading workstations.
• Escalates findings with Radiology IT services for resolution.
