Job Description
Part-time, 24 Hours/week

Summary:
Performs radiology examinations within the GXMO scope of practice as defined by the Ohio Department of Health, including general x-ray procedures where a Doctor of Medicine or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine is on-site. The Radiology GXMO tech will not independently perform fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, or surgical exams but will assist the technologist with general radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and provide clerical/technical support to facilitate smooth workflow.
Responsibilities:
1. Performs general x-ray procedures where there is a registered technologist on site within the department.
2. Assist radiographer with technical and clerical duties.
3. Maintain supplies by monitoring stock and replenishing accordingly.
4. Screen patients and obtain pertinent medical history.
5. Explain procedures to patients and address questions/concerns.
6. Facilitate patient workflow by tracking and verifying exams.
7. Transports Patients.
8. Follows all QA/QC guidelines for all equipment.
9. Other duties as required.

Technical Expertise
1. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing is required.
2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is required.
3. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
1. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Completion of an accredited GXMO didactic educational program, or be a student enrolled in a radiologic technology program of study, .
2. Certification: General X-ray Machine Operator License with the Ohio Department of Health with completion of competency-based clinical training modules: Chest and Abdomen, Extremities, Skull and Sinuses, Spine, and Podiatry required.
3. Become licensed as an X-Ray Technologist within one year of graduating from Radiologic Technology Program .
