RadNet in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet and register patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and manage scheduling in a fast-paced radiology setting. You will coordinate with back-office staff, safeguard patient information, and provide world-class customer service while upholding clinical and privacy standards.

A high school diploma and strong computer skills are required, with bilingual Spanish preferred, and prior radiology office experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills.
• Experience providing exceptional customer service.
• Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Obtain or verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures, ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collect and log all co-pays and fees.
• Answer or transfer incoming phone calls.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments; confirm and notify staff of changes.
• Provide orientation for preparatory and safety protocols; offer facility directions.
• Coordinate with back-office staff for timely patient care.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications per policy and law.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers; respect patient boundaries.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
