Job summary

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Physician – Program Director for the Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging Fellowship. The role reports to the Department Chair and oversees education and patient-care outcomes within the training program, partnering with leadership to provide operational guidance for OSUWMC.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
• Board eligibility or board certification in Radiology (ABR, ABOR).
• Completion of a subspecialty fellowship in Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging by time of appointment.
• Three years post-fellowship experience.
• Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of the educational mission of the training program, ensuring trainee milestone achievement and teaching performance oversight.
• Foster a safe learning environment and promote interdisciplinary teamwork and high-quality clinical services.
• Assess fellowship quality metrics and support efficient resource use and adherence to guidelines.
• Oversee supervision of trainees and faculty in OSUWMC and ensure appropriate supervision levels.
• Maintain accreditation with Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA, and other bodies.
• Lead recruitment of exceptional trainees and collaborate with department leadership.
• Develop a training program that is highly regarded and improves national rankings where applicable.
• Encourage fellows to review and implement clinical practice guidelines.
