Job summary

UP Health System Marquette, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Radiology Extern for Cath Lab PRN with varied shifts. The role supports imaging teams and performs radiographic exams under supervision to deliver quality patient care in a busy hospital setting.

The position emphasizes collaborative teamwork, patient safety, and adherence to imaging protocols, with opportunities to learn across modalities and advance skills within a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated accredited school of Radiologic Technology (Preferred).
• Graduated AMA approved Nuclear Medicine program (Preferred).
• Graduated accredited diagnostic medical sonographer program (Preferred).
• Certifications: BLS-HCP, ARRT registry (Preferred), NMTCB (Preferred), RDMS (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operates stationary and portable diagnostic imaging equipment in all imaging divisions with assistance and guidance of a imaging technologist.
• Works under the direct or indirect supervision of an imaging technologist while performing diagnostic radiographic examinations.
• Processes image including evaluating image for technical quality and notifies appropriate personnel of any follow-up needed.
• Assists in staff functions such as registering patients, general office duties, filing, transporting of patients if necessary.

Radiologic Technology program

AMA approved Nuclear Medicine program

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program

Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

ARRT registry

Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)

Registered in Diagnostic Ultrasound (RDMS)
