Qualifications

• Prerequisite coursework in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology (must be completed).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
• Associate degree or vocational school graduate within 6 months post-graduation or current enrollment in an accredited radiology technology program.

Responsibilities

• Shadow licensed Radiology Technologists to learn roles and responsibilities.
• Assist in preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are clean and stocked for patient use.
• Help position patients for radiographic examinations under supervision.
• Assist with maintenance and organization of radiology equipment and supplies.
• Provide basic patient care and comfort, addressing questions while ensuring privacy.
• Observe radiation safety practices and procedures.
• Participate in workshops, seminars, or training sessions as directed by supervising staff.
• Promote consistent, positive patient interactions and teamwork.
• Demonstrate caring and empathy in all interactions with patients and families.
