Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia is seeking an Imaging Student Extern to support the X-Ray team. You will assist with screening, positioning and imaging under supervision, ensuring patient safety and adherence to department protocols.

The role is part-time with rotating shifts, designed for students in their Radiologic Technologist program, offering hands-on experience and exposure to real-world radiography workflows within a major Catholic health system.

Qualifications

• Completion of the first year of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and currently enrolled in the second year.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Within 6 months after program completion, ARRT (R) certification must be earned.

Responsibilities

• Screen and position patients and acquire diagnostic radiographs per department protocols.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality, and proper patient identifiers during exams.
• Document exams in PACS and support daily workflow under supervision.
• Participate in student education and clinical learning as part of the program.
