Cynet Health in West Virginia is seeking a Radiology Echo Tech (Sonographer) for a 13-week assignment focused on echocardiography and cardiac sonography.

The role requires at least 1 year of cardiac sonographer experience, BLS, and RDCS or RCS certification within 12 months of hire; transthoracic echocardiograms experience is essential. EPIC is used for charting and Philips machines are in use. Weekend and holiday call rotations apply.

Description:The department focuses on echocardiography and cardiac sonography.A general certification in BLS is required.Candidates must obtain specialty certifications such as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) within 12 months of hire.The department has one scanner/room.The primary responsibility will be at the main location, with the possibility of covering other areas as needed.Common types of imaging performed include transthoracic echo.Average number of studies performed per day is approximately 8, with 6 outpatient and 2 inpatient.The department uses EPIC for charting, and Philips echocardiography machines are utilized.The department does not have any Registered Radiology Assistants in the department.A cardiologist will be available as the reader of the day.Starting IVs is permitted if the candidate has the ability; otherwise, assistance can be requested.Weekend call rotation is required (7-1 Saturday and Sunday).Holiday call rotation is also a requirement.Scrub color is light blue, and scrubs will be provided.The department does not require a BSN.The trauma level is not specified.The care setting is acute.Allied division.
