Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Diagnostic/CT Technologist to prepare patients and perform radiographic and CT procedures per orders and manuals. You will deliver high-quality images for timely interpretation by Radiologists and support quality patient care across departments.

The role requires ARRT/Radiologic Technology certification, CT certification within one year, state licensure, CPR, and clinical experience.

Qualifications

Completion of accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology with CT training or documented cross-training.
Advanced ARRT or NMTCB CT certification within one year of hire.
VA State Radiologic Technologist License required.
American Heart Association CPR certification required.
Six months relevant experience required; three years preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares patients for radiology and CT examinations by confirming orders, verifying identities, and obtaining medical histories for accurate exams.
Performs radiology/CT examinations across all ages and maintains competency via annual orientation.
Assists in transporting patients from the ED/other units when required.
Adheres to departmental policies to ensure safe, effective operations and quality patient care.
Maintains knowledge of Diagnostic/CT imaging services and communicates with Radiologists.
Greets patients and visitors professionally and addresses needs efficiently and confidentially.
