Description:Unit has 3 Cath Lab rooms and 1 Hybrid OR.Average number of cases per day is between 13-26.Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, CAD, PAD, PVD, CHF, heart blocks, and cancer.Procedures performed include cardiac cases, peripheral vascular cases, interventional radiology, and pacemaker insertions.Responsibilities include controlling the C-arm during cases and assisting medical personnel during procedures.Preparation of the patient and other duties within the scope of practice are also expected.EMR systems used are Merge and Cerner for hemodynamic monitoring.X-ray machines utilized are from Philips.Cardiologist coverage is available 24/7.Call hours are typically from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays, with 24-hour coverage on weekends.Management and charge RN are accessible from 6:30 AM until 5:00 PM.Scheduling typically includes 4 x 10-hour shifts.On-call requirement is usually one night shift per week and one weekend per four-week period.Holiday call is distributed equally among staff.Call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes.There are no floating requirements.OR scrubs are provided.General orientation lasts 1-2 days, followed by 2 days of unit-specific orientation.Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment.Charting is conducted using the Cerner system.Trauma level is classified as acute.Care setting is within an acute division.
