Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Radiological Health Physicist to join the Environment, Safety, Health and Quality team. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, dosimetry investigations, and development of radiological control policies at the MFC site in Idaho.

The ideal candidate will have a health physics degree and experience with DOE/NRC requirements, with opportunities to influence program improvements and training for health physicists and technicians.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's level in health physics or related science with professional experience or advanced degree.
• Experience in health physics field (academic, DOE, NRC, etc.).
• Proficiency with health physics software programs.

Responsabilidades

• Provide oversight for Radiation Protection program implementation per 10 CFR 835 and DOE orders.
• Interpret test results and conduct dosimetry exposure investigations.
• Develop corrective actions and provide guidance for radiological control policies.
• Design and select radiation-detection instrumentation and establish safety standards.
• Prepare technical reports and briefings for senior leadership and sponsors.
• Support training programs for health physicists and radiological technicians.
• Identify and pursue new proposals and business development opportunities.
