Job summary

Lightbridge Corporation in Idaho Falls seeks an experienced Radiological Controls Lead to establish and mature the radiation protection program for a HALEU fuel fabrication facility. You will ensure ALARA, manage postings, dosimetry, surveys, and compliance with 10 CFR Part 20 while guiding a growing team.

This role partners with the Nuclear Facility Manager and regulators, and paves the way toward a department leadership position, shaping radiological controls and safety culture across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Radiological Sciences, or related field.
• 7+ years radiation protection experience at NRC/DOE facility with SNM.
• Strong knowledge of 10 CFR Part 20 and ALARA program implementation.
• Experience with dosimetry programs, bioassay, and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Radiation Protection Program and ALARA systems.
• Oversee radiological surveys, contamination control, and dose monitoring.
• Manage dosimetry, bioassay, and dose recordkeeping.
• Coordinate waste characterization and shipment for Part 71.
• Serve as NRC technical point of contact on radiation protection.
• Lead RadCon training for operations and maintenance staff.
