Job summary

College of the Mainland seeks a Radiologic Technology Clinical Coordinator/Instructor to support the program goals through administrative, coordinating, and teaching duties. The role includes clinical and didactic instruction, student advisement, and program operations support at the Texas City campus.

The position requires ARRT certification, a Texas license, and relevant clinical/instruction experience, with preference for a Master’s degree and advanced modality certifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
  • Three years’ clinical experience in professional discipline.
  • One year experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program (or will have attained this qualification within twelve months).
  • Current unencumbered ARRT certification and registration in radiography.
  • Current unencumbered Texas General Medical Radiologic Technologist license.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain course outlines and objectives.
  • Participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction and evaluation, as appropriate.
  • Maintain current knowledge of professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development.
  • Provide class content relevant to course outlines and curriculum in compliance with college policies.
  • Maintain required student advisement hours and provide student advising.
  • Maintain current knowledge of program policies procedures, and student progress.
  • Address issues that may arise while students are in the clinical facility.
  • Coordinate clinical education with didactic education and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Teach face-to-face, online, and Hybrid courses as assigned.
  • Promote COM and the Radiologic Technology program through recruitment activities.
  • Assist students to develop strategies for success.
  • Attend and participate in program and institutional committees and meetings.
  • Support the program director to ensure effective program operations.
  • Participate in accreditation and assessment processes
  • Maintain all documentation systems for student tracking.
  • Coordinate with Clinical Instructors to ensure program requirements.
  • Maintain hospital affiliation agreements and facility requirements.
  • Assign students to clinical rotations.
  • Act as Radiation Safety Officer Alternate.
  • Maintain student records and onboarding requirements.
  • Recruit and train Preceptor.
  • Seek new clinical facilities for student rotations.
