Job Description

The Staff Technologist provides patient services using imaging modalities and performs diagnostic procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle, exercises professional judgment in procedures, provides patient care essential to imaging, recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures. Establishes and maintains good rapport and professional relationships with colleagues, other departments, and Medical Staff. Performs imaging services "on call" as needed.

PRN Status Clause

This is a PRN as-needed position. You must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, with additional hours as requested by your supervisor. Work hours may vary depending on departmental needs.

Additional Job Requirements

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
• Experience: Competency in components of Imaging practice as appropriate
• Licenses/Certificates: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) is required. Advanced ARRT certification is preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
