JOB SUMMARY
Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Assists physician during procedure functioning as a scrub tech during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures
Completion of radiographic studies as requested
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs radiographic procedures in a competent and knowledgeable manner
Administers contrast media as required for certain exams with approval of a physician
Assists physicians in performance of cardiac and vascular studies
Maintains a safe and orderly environment for self, other personnel and patients
Pursues self-development and assists in orientation and education of employees as required.
Provides age appropriate care to all patients.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - to be obtained within 6 months
ARRT registered with WV licensure.
Completion of basic arrthymia recognition and interpretation course.
