Qualifications

• Current Licensure as Radiologic Technologist in the State of California.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).
• Preferred: one year recent experience in an acute care facility; bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general diagnostic radiologic procedures ensuring optimal imaging.
• Ensures identity of patient and correct procedure per physician order and hospital policies.
• Positions patients to ensure accurate testing based on age and requirements.
• Maintains sterile environment and uses PPE; applies ALARA radiation safety practices.
• Assists with patient care within scope of licensure and coordinates patient requirements during procedures and transportation.
• Monitors equipment and reports malfunctions; ensures images are processed, archived, and documented in patient records.
