Job summary

Southern California Hospitals is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform general diagnostic radiologic procedures in a California facility.

The role requires current CA licensure, fluoroscopy certification, English communication skills, and AHA BLS. The technologist will ensure patient safety, proper procedure, and maintain equipment while supporting a high standard of care in a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• Current Licensure as Radiologic Technologist in California.
• Fluoroscopy license/certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• AHA Basic Life Support.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).
• Preferred: One year recent experience in an acute care facility.
• Preferred: Bilingual skills to communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of diagnostic radiologic procedures ensuring optimal imaging.
• Ensures identity of patient and correct procedure per physician order and policies.
• Positions patients to ensure accurate testing considering age and requirements.
• Maintains sterile environment and uses PPE; applies ALARA for exposure control.
• Documents charges, orders supplies, maintains department records.
• Monitors equipment and reports malfunctions to leadership.
