Job summary

University of Southern California is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiology procedures across clinical settings within Keck Hospital. The role requires careful exam planning, proper positioning, image quality checks, and patient safety with radiation protection.

You will, at times, transport patients, schedule exams, and support department operations. A strong English communicator with ARRT and BLS is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT radiologic technologist certification.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• CA DPH Radiologic Technologist certification.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) or obtain within 30 days of hire (LA City only).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to work with physicians, staff, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures following department protocol.
• Review radiographs for proper positioning, technique, and ID.
• Demonstrates knowledge of radiographic equipment and clinical areas.
• Adjusts factors by age/size while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Process digital images and ensure proper identification.
• Verify patient identification and exam protocol per orders.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and assist with supplies.
• Participate in after-hours standby and callback as required.
