Job summary

Southern California Hospitals is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a range of general diagnostic radiologic procedures in a busy imaging department in Los Angeles.

The ideal candidate holds current California licensure, BLS, and excellent English communication; preferred one year acute care experience and ability to maintain ALARA safety, patient care, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Current Licensure as Radiologic Technologist in the State of California.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general diagnostic radiological procedures ensuring optimal imaging.
• Verify patient identity and physician orders, and adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Maintain sterile environment and apply ALARA radiation safety practices.
• Assist with documentation, charging, and department records.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions to leadership.
