Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) R.T.(R) certification and Maryland Radiation Technologist license.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of AMA/JRCERT-accredited Radiography program or associate degree in Radiologic Technology.
• 1 year radiography experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging studies including portables, fluoroscopy and OR cases.
• Identify patients, review orders and select x-ray protocol to maximize quality and safety.
• Document in HIS/RIS/PACS/Envision systems.
• Assist radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures.
• Apply ALARA principles and shielding for patient safety.
• Understand contrast media types, amounts, and reactions; respond to adverse events.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform front desk and transporter duties as needed.
• Maintain flexible schedule to accommodate volume.
• Orient new employees and train radiography students.
• Participate in PI projects and other duties as assigned.
