HCA Healthcare's CareNow - West Ashley in Charleston, SC is seeking a Radiology Technologist (RT) and Medical Assistant (MA). You will perform imaging, vital signs, and patient check-in duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Services program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT Certification is required.
• GMRT license in state of residency if required by state.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) required.
• AAMA certification is preferred.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• State office laboratory assistant license within 30 days if required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and external labs.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Seeking a Radiology Technologist (RT) and skilled Medical Assistant (MA) like you who provides expertise and to be a champion of patient care. As a Radiology Tech/Medical Assistant, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You Should Have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required
• Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Certification required
• General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT) license in state of residency if required by the state
• BLS certification within 30 days of start required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Within 30 days of employment or promotion, must obtain and maintain state license (if required by the state) for Office Laboratory Assistant.
