Job summary

HCA Healthcare's CareNow - West Ashley is seeking a Limited Practice Radiographer/Medical Assistant to support patient care and radiology services. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, patient interaction, and teamwork in a busy urgent care setting.

You will perform X-ray imaging, vital signs, specimen collection, injections, and EHR updates, while ensuring compliance with licensure, BLS, and screening certifications. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Practice Radiographer (LPR/LMRT), license in state of residency required.
• Current certification from the AAMA is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing charts.
• Maintain radiology, in-house lab, drug screens, and external lab records.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Seeking a Limited Practice Radiographer/Medical Assistant like you who provides expertise and to be a champion of patient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

As a Tech, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
