RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Lead for the night shift in New Jersey. The role focuses on delivering high-quality radiographic images, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining radiation safety standards.

Applicants must hold ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology, a NJ radiology license, and BLS certification through the AHA. Preference is given to candidates with at least two years of radiology technician experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology is required.
• NJ radiology license required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Preferred: minimum of two years radiology technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiographic images or position fluoroscopic equipment as instructed.
• Minimize radiation exposure.
• Ensure patient comfort during procedures.
• Select and prepare contrast media for examinations and special studies.
• Process radiographic images for PACS submission.
• Identify patient and indicate correct body part on all images.
• Process x-ray requests.
• Assist in instruction of student technologists.
• Demonstrate radiographic techniques to student radiographers.

Job Overview

To provide a specialized image of a body part for purposes of medical interpretation.

Qualifications

Required:

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology required.
• NJ radiology license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Preferred:

• Minimum of two (2) years of radiology technician experience strongly preferred.

Essential Functions

• Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment, as instructed.
• Minimization of radiation exposure.
• Ensuring patient comfort.
• Selection and preparation of any contrast media used in conjunction with radiographic examinations as well as special examinations.
• Processing radiographic images going to PACS.
• Patient identification and indication of correct body part on all radiographic images.
• Processing x-ray requests.
• Assists in instruction of student technologists.
• Is able to demonstrate the technical art to student radiographers.
