RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Lead to join the Radiology Diagnostic team in New Brunswick. The role focuses on providing high-quality radiographic imaging, patient positioning, and contrast media handling while maintaining safety standards and preparing images for PACS.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT Certification, NJ radiology license, and BLS, with a preference for at least two years of radiology technician experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology is required.
• NJ radiology license is required.
• BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
• Two or more years of radiology technician experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment as instructed.
• Minimizing radiation exposure.
• Ensuring patient comfort.
• Selecting and preparing contrast media for radiographic exams and special examinations.
• Processing radiographic images going to PACS.
• Verifying patient identification and correct body part on images.
• Processing x-ray requests.
• Assisting in instruction of student technologists.
• Demonstrating radiographic techniques to student radiographers.

• Preferred:Minimum of two (2) years of radiology technician experience strongly preferred.

• Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment, as instructed.
• Minimization of radiation exposure.
• Ensuring patient comfort.
• Selection and preparation of any contrast media used in conjunction with radiographic examinations as well as special examinations.
• Processing radiographic images going to PACS.
• Patient identification and indication of correct body part on all radiographic images.
• Processing x-ray requests.
• Assists in instruction of student technologists.
• Is able to demonstrate the technical art to student radiographers.
