RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Lead for the Night shift at RWJ New Brunswick. The role requires ARRT certification in Radiation Technology, NJ radiology license, and BLS (AHA).

Experience preferred but not required for entry-level candidates. Responsibilities include imaging, fluoroscopy, contrast preparation, PACS processing, and mentoring student technologists, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology is required.
• NJ radiology license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment as instructed.
• Minimization of radiation exposure.
• Ensuring patient comfort.
• Selection and preparation of any contrast media; perform special examinations as needed.
• Processing radiographic images going to PACS.
• Patient identification and indication of correct body part on all radiographic images.
• Processing x-ray requests.
• Assists in instruction of student technologists.
• Demonstrates the technical art to student radiographers.

Qualifications

Required

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology required.
• NJ radiology license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Preferred

• Minimum of two (2) years of radiology technician experience strongly preferred.

Essential Functions

Responsible for:

• Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment, as instructed.
• Minimization of radiation exposure.
• Ensuring patient comfort.
• Selection and preparation of any contrast media used in conjunction with radiographic examinations as well as special examinations.
• Processing radiographic images going to PACS.
• Patient identification and indication of correct body part on all radiographic images.
• Processing x-ray requests.
• Assists in instruction of student technologists.
• Is able to demonstrate the technical art to student radiographers.
